Asian Beech
Asian Beech is a genus of ten species of deciduous trees in the family Fagaceaw, native to temperate Europe, Asia, and North America. The grain pattern tends to be long and slightly wavy. Beech is an excellent wood for interior floors.
Botanical Name: Fagus, slyvatica
Color: Asian Beech has pale cream to pinkish brown heartwood that darkens to pale reddish brown.
Grain: The grain is straight with broad rays throughout.
Uses: Although Asian Beech wood is difficult to work with hand tools, it does have good machining qualities, therefore, this wood makes excellent hardwood flooring.
Hardness: Asian Beech has a hardness of 1,686 on the Janka scale.
